Palestinian Grandmother Fails to Become a “Role Model”
23 November 2006Fatima Omar Mahmud al-Najar, a 57-year-old mother of 9 and grandmother of 41 impressionable youth did something that no buby (the Yiddish term for grandmother) would dream of doing - blowing herself up. Al-Najar became the first Hamas suicide bomber in two years, and likely the first in a new wave.
If the matriarch of the family is doing this and was sent on their way by ruling Palestinian party, I think it’s safe to say Palestinian society is screwed. Let hope the world starts seeing the Palestinians for what they really are.
