In an interesting piece in the New York Sun on July 7, 2006 (no longer available without subscription), Youssef Ibrahim writes a letter to his fellow Arabs that describes a changing tide in the Arab world with respect to the Palestinians. He continues on to write a letter, from the Arab world to the Palestinians, that is full of some great advice for the Palestinians.    this letter that this arab wrote is enter bullshit… who is he to have the right to say this war is over… me i’m not even arab… but this is sickening to me.    This person *is* an arab, which does give him a certain right and ability to comment on the situation, along with the unique perspective of being able to share insight into how other Arabs feel about this situation.    The problem in the Middle East persists because since the State of Israel was violently created in 1948–largely by the efforts of the United States and Great Britain–the voiceless predominantly Arab Palestinians have had no where to turn to.    Jose, with all due respect, this comment shows your complete lack of knowledge about the history of Israel.    Thanks for believing that I am working here in good faith. Grazie per credere che sto lavorando qui, in buona fede. The DVD covers the time before Israel was created to about the year 2000. Il DVD comprende il tempo prima che Israele è stato creato a circa l'anno 2000. It is not done from the Israeli point of view at all - in fact, it is quite critical of Israel at times. However, it uses actual video coverage from the days when the events actually happened and pieces the story together.
