Είναι αραβικό παγκόσμιο να σταματήσει στους Παλαιστίνιους;
He continues on to write a letter, from the Arab world to the Palestinians, that is full of some great advice for the Palestinians. To paraphase this letter would do it injustice, so we have posted a copy on Middle East Facts. Click here to see Youssef Ibrahim’s Open Letter to the Palestinians.

This person *is* an arab, which does give him a certain right and ability to comment on the situation, along with the unique perspective of being able to share insight into how other Arabs feel about this situation. You are not even an Arab, so you can make no such claim. Let me ask you this: how is your Arabic these days? Do you read/watch Al-Jazeera in the original language or are you too good for that? You can’t possibly believe that they, along with most to all other Arabic channels, put out foreign translations of their material not expect anyone else to actually read it. They different markets that they cater to, as do all broadcasting firms, and businesses in general. Do you really believe that they would simply translate their original Arabic broadcasts for the American public to see all of the tripe that they push onto their Arabic customers? Give me a break. They know that if foreigners heard what they were really saying that they would have a lot to answer for. I have known several Arabic speakers and they have all reported that the english versions of such publications are tempered greatly from the Arabic originals.
I think the only person here who needs a reality check is you. Check your naive levels - I think you’ll be surprise to find them around the 7-10 year old setting. Oh and learn how to spell. And reading would be a good skill to aquire as well. I don’t know what Scripture you are reading, but copy definately covers God granting the Land of Israel to Abraham, and to Isaac, ultimately to Jacob as he goes down to Egypt with the promise that his progeny will be redeemed and returned to their land.

The problem in the Middle East persists because since the State of Israel was violently created in 1948–largely by the efforts of the United States and Great Britain–the voiceless predominantly Arab Palestinians have had no where to turn to. Many of these Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homesan act driven by a “pseudo-religious” belief that Palestine was the God-promised ancestral homeland of the Jews.
It seems to me that nobody around Middle-East like the Palestinians and they were pushed to Lebanon. Well, sorry for Lebanon which opened their borders to welcome human-beings…..not garbage….
When I bought my house, I bought one which was on sale, I didn’t invade my neighbors house neither called my big brother to steel other’s people land………
Hope I didn’t hurt feelings…. but as a Christian I do not take a few paragraphs from the Bible for my convenience….

In response to Jose:
“Many of these Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homes”
And many more left at the request of the invading Arab armies with promises of more land upon return. Most were NOT forcibly removed - they left on their own accord. How do we know this is true? Because today, 1.2 million Israelis are Arabs - the ancestors of those who didn’t leave.
Also remember that 900,000 Jews were forced to leave the Arab world around 1948. Most of these Jews were welcomed by the state of Israel and were integrated fully into society almost immediately. Israel truly cared about Jews from the Arab world - the Arab world truly didn’t care about Arabs from Israel.
“nobody around Middle-East like the Palestinians and they were pushed to Lebanon”
Jordan also took many and fully integrated them into their society, the only Arab country, I believe, that did that. The result? 70% of the Jordanian population is Palestinians, living as part of society, not in the squalor of refugee camps. Jordan’s integration of Palestinians into their society should be a model from the Arab world (besides Israel’s integration of Jews).
“I didnt invade my neighbors house neither called my big brother to steel others people land”
Jose, with all due respect, this comment shows your complete lack of knowledge about the history of Israel. The Jewish National Fund purchased much of what is today’s Israel, from the Arab landowners. The land, before the Jews was swamps and desert. The Jews subsequently (between wars initiated by the Arabs) worked the land and made it productive - and this is why Israel is the only country in the world that has a growth in the number of trees, whereas every other country is losing trees and other vegitation.
“Hope I didnt hurt feelings”
The only way you hurt my feelings is by pretending that you know the complicated history of the conflict, when it’s clear you know very little. I urge you to study the history of the region before stating your opinion. My suggestion for starting your studies is:
The 50 Years War - Israel & The Arabs
The DVD above was produced by PBS and is the most balanced and ind-depth documentary I have ever seen about the topic.
When you’ve pursued your studies farther, please let me know so that we can engage in meaningful dialogue.

Believing in your good faith, I will buy the DVD and learn more from it. I’m not saying any moment that I agree with you, I want to understand your point of view and share the facts.
The link doesn’t work

Jose,
Thanks for believing that I am working here in good faith. The DVD covers the time before Israel was created to about the year 2000. It is not done from the Israeli point of view at all - in fact, it is quite critical of Israel at times. However, it uses actual video coverage from the days when the events actually happened and pieces the story together.
I have corrected the link - my apologies.
