Hamas Vows to Continue Terror
13 February 2007In case Western governments still think Hamas changed when they became the leaders of the Palestinian government, Hamas has once again vowed to continue their terror and pledge that they will not make peace with Israel. This position came in an article, published in Al-Ayyam on February 12, 2007 and translated by Palestinian Media Watch. Among the comments made by Hamas spokesman Mushir Al-Masri was that Hamas “will not recognize Israel, will not abandon the resistance [ed. a.k.a. terrorist tactics] and will not discard its principles.”
While many people following Hamas’ comments from their inception many years ago realize that this stance hasn’t changed, we hope that others will see that Hamas will never accept a just peace with two states. Could Hamas’ stance be more clear? Unlikely - they’ve spelled it out, and to ignore it would be negligent.
