Een straal van Hoop bij de V.N.?
16 December 2006 -- Voeg deze post aan del.icio.us toe 10 jaar, heeft de wereld aan aan de nutteloze V.N. - op 31 December, 2006, 10 jaarramp geleden van Kofi Annan aangezien de Secretaris-generaal ten einde zal lopen. Kofi Annan zal in geschiedenis als één van corruptste en onbekwame Generaals van de Secretaresse ooit dalen. Tijdens zijn tijd, woedde Palestijnse intifada, zelfmoord werd bombarderen gepopulariseerd, kwam de volkerenmoord één lidstaat (Iran) voor bedreigde volkerenmoord in van de Soedan, tegen een andere lidstaat (Israël), negeerde 12.000 raketten Hezbollah die in Israël vorig aan de Israël/Hezbollah oorlog, resoluties op bewerkstelligen een vreedzame oplossing aan de ontbroken kwestie van Irak worden gericht en het werd duidelijk dat zijn steun van Irak tot hem een zeer rijke mens maakte. Een vreselijk spoorverslag door om het even welke normen.
On January 1, 2007, the United Nations will get a new Secretary General - Ban Ki-moon. Mr. Ki-moon has already apparently distinguished himself as a respectable individual with regards to Jewish issues - let’s hope this continues. This comment is based solely on Mr. Ki-moon’s comments about the Holocaust denial conference, hosted by United Nations member country Iran and it’s “charismatic” President Ahmenijihad (and I misspell that intentionally).
Here are two comments, according to Reuters, made by the upcoming Secretary General, which indicate that Mr. Ki-moon will be a more effective Secretary General than Kofi Annan:
- “Denying historical facts especially on such an important subject as the Holocaust is just not acceptable, nor is it acceptable to call for the elimination of states or people. I would like to see this fundamental principle respected in both rhetoric and practice by all the members of the international community.”
- “I think that this Iranian nuclear development issue presents a much greater implication on the situation in the region and globally…Therefore I would urge the authorities of Iran to engage in negotiations as they had been with European Union plus the three countries (i.e. United States, Russia and China)”.
While the above comments could be Mr. Ki-moon’s diplomacy at work, we’re willing to give the new Secretary General the benefit of the doubt. We believe, at this point, that Mr. Ki-moon will be a much more honest and effective Secretary General than Kofi Annan was. The world needs leadership - Mr. Ki-moon, please let us finally have what we deserve - a great leader!
