Democracy has come to the Arab World

Whatever spin people want to put on the successful elections in Iraq on January 30 is simply trying to whitewash their cynicism over the last couple of years. Iraqis are the first Arabs to taste freedom in the Middle East (other than Israeli Arabs, of course) and deserve to have the world’s support!
Congratulations Iraq - a new day has dawned in the Middle East!

This is an interesting piece commenting on those, especially Arabs who say “I like Jews, but disklike Zionism”. The title sets the mood quite well…

Sri Lanka rejects Israel rescuers

This reminds us of Iran’s refusal to take Israeli aid. The difference here is that Sri Lanka is primarily a Buddhist country (source)! It’s shocking to see that perhaps the most qualified medical crews are turned around - it’s a display of sheer hatred.
Israel has cancelled plans to send a 150-person rescue mission to Sri Lanka after the devastated island objected to the military composition of the team.
