Stephen Harper, Canada’s Prime Minister, has apparently been getting much flack and much praise over his stance on the Middle East. ستيفن هاربر رئيس وزراء كندا ، على ما يبدو الحصول على الكثير والكثير من الثناء فلاك اكثر من وقوفه على الشرق الاوسط. Mr. Harper was an unfortunate victim of bad timing earlier this week, when he called Israel’s current assault on Hezbollah “measured” a day or two before a family of 8 Canadians living in Lebanon was killed in an Israeli air strike targetting Hezbollah. السيد هاربر كانت مؤسفة ضحيه سوء توقيت في وقت سابق من هذا الاسبوع ، عندما دعا اسرائيل الحالية للاعتداء على حزب الله "قياس" خلال يوم او يومين قبل ان عائلة مكونة من 8 الكنديين الذين يعيشون فى لبنان وقتل في الغاره الجوية الاسرائيلية التي تستهدف حزب الله. Canada’s previous stance in the Middle East was “neutral” due to the Liberal party being a majority for 13 years. كندا السابق للموقف في الشرق الاوسط هو "محايدة" نظرا لكونه من الحزب الليبرالي الاغلبيه لمدة 13 سنة. Harper, a Conservative, has strayed from the line of previous governments and has been quite supportive of Israel’s current attacks on Hezbollah. هاربر ، محافظ ، وقد متيه من خط الحكومات السابقة ، وكان داعما للغاية الحالية لاسرائيل على هجمات حزب الله.

The flack is typically coming from Muslims and liberals, and the praise is coming from Jews and conservatives. فان فلاك هي عادة قادمة من المسلمين والليبراليين ، والمديح هو قادمة من اليهود والمحافظين. We, the undersigned, representatives of the six Lebanese organizations listed below, extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Canadian government, represented by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter MacKay, for the correct, just and prompt positions they have taken with regard to Lebanon and the unfortunate military confrontations that are occurring on its soil as a result of the reckless hostile actions of Hezbollah. نحن الموقعين ادناه ، ممثلي المنظمات الست اللبنانيه المدرجه ادناه ، عن خالص امتنانه لحكومة الكنديه ، والتي يمثلها رئيس الوزراء ستيفن هاربر ووزير الخارجية بيتر ماكاي ، لصحيحة وعادلة وسريعه المواقف التي اتخذتها فيما يتعلق لبنان والمءسفه المواجهات العسكرية التي تجري على ارضها ونتيجة للاجراءات عدائية طاءشه من حزب الله. Those actions violate the will of the Lebanese people and the decisions and authority of the legitimate government of Lebanon. هذه الاعمال تنتهك ارادة الشعب اللبناني والقرارات وسلطة الحكومة الشرعية في لبنان.

The actions and conduct of Hezbollah are extremely harmful to the interests of Lebanon and the Lebanese people, and obstruct progress of the peace process in Lebanon specifically, and in the Middle East in general. الاجراءات وسلوك حزب الله هي غاية تضر بمصالح لبنان والشعب اللبناني ، وعرقلة التقدم المحرز في عملية السلام في لبنان تحديدا ، وفى الشرق الاوسط بصفة عامة.

We also thank the government for its wise and effective efforts with respect to its handling of all measures for the evacuation of Canadian citizens from Lebanon, the safeguarding of their security, and their safe return to Canada. كما نشكر حكومة لالحكيمه وجهود فعالة فيما يتعلق تعاملها مع جميع تدابير لإجلاء المواطنين الكنديين من لبنان ، وحمايه امنهم ، وعودتهم سالمين الى كندا.

We call on the Canadian government to continue its interventions through the United Nations and the Security Council to secure an immediate truce in Lebanon based on UN Resolution 1559, which explicitly calls for the disarmament of all Lebanese and non-Lebanese militias, the deployment of the Lebanese army along the border with Israel, and the extension of the authority of the Lebanese government over all Lebanese territory. ونحن ندعو الحكومة الكنديه على مواصلة تدخلاته من خلال الامم المتحدة ومجلس الامن لتأمين هدنة فورية في لبنان على أساس قرار الامم المتحدة 1559 ، الذي يدعو صراحة لنزع السلاح من جميع اللبنانيين وغير اللبنانيين الميليشيات ، ونشر لل الجيش اللبناني على طول الحدود مع اسرائيل ، وبسط سلطة الحكومة اللبنانيه على جميع الاراضي اللبنانيه.

The above is an important statement. ما سبق هو بيان هام. It shows that individuals of Lebanese heritage are criticizing Hezbollah and not Israel, for the current war in Lebanon. ويبين ان الأفراد من التراث اللبناني هي انتقاد حزب الله وليس اسرائيل ، من اجل الحرب الحالية في لبنان. They recognize that Israel has been put in a bad spot, because Lebanon has not lived up to their responsibilities by securing their borders and ensuring sovereignty over their territory. وهي تدرك ان اسرائيل وضعت في بقعة سيئة ، لأن لبنان لم يرق الى مستوى مسؤولياتها عن طريق تامين حدودها وضمان سيادتها على اراضيها. Lebanon has been through too many wars and really is an innocent bystander in the Middle East conflict. لبنان تم من خلال عدد كبير جدا من الحروب وحقا هو بريء متفرج في الصراع في الشرق الاوسط. Kudos to these Lebanese organizations for speaking out and asserting their support for peace in the Middle East, by dismantling Hezbollah. الشهره لهذه المنظمات لبنانيه تحدثت بصراحة وتأكيد دعمهم للسلام في الشرق الاوسط ، عن طريق تفكيك حزب الله.

   this has to be the most biased website i have ever been on in my entire life. هذا قد يكون متحيزا موقع اكثر من اي وقت مضى ولقد تم في بلدي على الحياة بأكملها. you take one just ONE instance in which someone blames hezbollah and you make a whole article on it. عليك ان تأخذ واحدة فقط في احدى الحالات التي احدهم باللوم على حزب الله وجعل لكم على المادة برمتها. I find it odd how the only countries supporting Israel are the english speaking ones who are also the ones that bombed hundreds of thousands of Japanese. انا استغرب كيف الوحيد البلدان الداعمة لاسرائيل هي ناطقة باللغه الانجليزيه هم الذين هم ايضا تلك التي قصفت مئات الآلاف من اليابانيين. Thousands of iraqis. الالاف من العراقيين. and thousands of blacks. والالاف من السود. If you wish i can find you more than just one example of how the world sees israel as a psychotic, immoral, and disrespectful nation. اذا اردت استطيع العثور عليك أكثر من مجرد مثال واحد على الكيفيه التي يرى العالم إسرائيل كدوله ذهاني ، وغير أخلاقي ، وعدم احترام الامة.

   This post indicates that Lebanese people in Canada commend the action being taken, because Hezbollah is holding their country hostage. وهذا يدل على ان وظيفة الشعب اللبناني في كندا اثنى على الاجراءات التى يجرى اتخاذها ، لان حزب الله هو عقد بلدهم رهينه. Hezbollah, a terrorist group, does not represent them and they know that Israel is doing the dirty work that the Lebanese government should have done long ago, but didn’t have the political will to do so. حزب الله ، جماعة ارهابية ، لا تمثلهم وانهم يعرفون ان تفعل اسرائيل القذره العمل إن الحكومة اللبنانيه يجب أن تقوم به منذ زمن طويل ، ولكن لم تكن لديه الاراده السياسية للقيام بذلك.

   You have a limited view of history, and it’s obvious from your posts. لديك محدود بالنظر الى التاريخ ، وأنه من الواضح من رسائلك. The bombs dropped on Japan, while abhorrent, did their job in stopping the brutal Japanese war machine, that continued fighting after the Germans gave up. القنابل التي أسقطت على اليابان ، في حين البغيضه ، لم بواجبها في وقف آلة الحرب الوحشية اليابانيه ، ان استمرار القتال بعد ان تخلى الالمان.    As for finding examples of how “the world sees Israel”, I invite you to share them with me. اما بالنسبة لايجاد امثلة على الكيفيه التي "يرى العالم اسرائيل" ، وادعوكم الى حصة لهم معي. Keep in mind, however, that many countries condemn Israel out of convenience to prevent “offending” their Muslim citizens and because much of the oil in the world is controlled by Muslims. يبقى في الاذهان ، مع ذلك ، ان العديد من البلدان التي تدين بها اسرائيل للراحة لمنع "التهجم" على المواطنين المسلمين ، ولأن الكثير من النفط في العالم هو تحت سيطره المسلمين.    Israel is at the forefront of the war against Islamic terror. اسرائيل هي في طليعه الحرب ضد الارهاب الاسلامي. You seem to sympathize with this terror machine, which is unfortunate, because you seem like you are bright, even though you lack the background knowledge and history of the conflict between Islam and the West. يبدو أنك لأتعاطف مع هذا الرعب الإله ، الذي أمر مؤسف ، لأنك أنت مثل يبدو مشرقا ، على الرغم من أنك تفتقر الى المعرفه الخلفية وتاريخ الصراع بين الاسلام والغرب. Just because “the world” didn’t condemn these countries for their threats, it doesn’t mean that they were right. لمجرد ان "العالم" لا ندين هذه البلدان لتهديداتهم ، وهذا لا يعني انهم كانوا على حق. You accuse us of being biased - it sounds like you’ve been quite brainwashed into beleiving that anything Israel does is bad. انت من اتهامنا بأنها متحيزه -- الامر يبدو وكأنك تماما غسل ادمغه الى الاعتقاد بأن اسرائيل لا أي شيء سيئ. To people like that, there’s not much for us to say! لأشخاص مثل هذا ، ليس هناك الكثير بالنسبة لنا لنقول!

   I assume you are talking about the Lebanese-Canadians that were in Lebanon, and not members of the organizations that wrote this letter. وافترض ان كنت تتحدث عن اللبنانيين - الكنديين ان كانت في لبنان ، وليس من اعضاء المنظمات التي كتبت هذه الرسالة. Every Western country has citizens abroad - why people bother leaving their home country and go to the west just to get a citizenship and return is beyond me. كل بلد غربي وقد المواطنين في الخارج -- لماذا تضايق الناس ترك بلادهم والتوجه الى الغرب فقط الى الحصول على المواطنه والعودة هو ابعد مني.

   My main reason for posting all of these comments is that i find it shameful that i haven’t heard a single word of remorse or sadness for any lebanese person that has been killed at the hands of the israelis. بلدي السبب الرئيسي لارسال كل هذه التعليقات هو ان أجد ان من المخجل ان لم اسمع كلمة واحدة من الندم أو الحزن اي لبناني ان الشخص قد قتل على ايدي الاسرائيليين. I was infact hezbollah who started this and they are infact stupid for doing it. كنت Infact حزب الله الذي بدا هذا وانهم Infact الغباء لتقوم بذلك. But every israeli or jew feels that because a group of fanatics that dont speak for all lebanese shud be punished by killing innocent civilians, regardless of whther they are christian, muslim or druze. ولكن كل اسرائيلي او يهودي لأن يشعر بأن مجموعة من المتعصبين dont ان اتكلم باسم جميع اللبنانيين shud ان يعاقب عليها وقتل المدنيين الابرياء ، بغض النظر عن whther وهي المسيحيه ، أو المسلمين والدروز.

   O and to refusino #3 i find your comment by far the most ignorant, saddest and funniest comment ever. س والى refusino # 3 اجد تعليقك الى حد بعيد أكثر الجاهلين ، وحزن أكثر تسلية والتعليق من اي وقت مضى. I don’t think you realize that Canada is considered to be a new country and that a very large number of the population is mad eup of immigrants. لا اعتقد انك تدرك ان كندا يعتبر كأنه بلد جديد وان عددا كبيرا جدا من السكان جنون eup من المهاجرين. if you decided to take out every immigrant form canada then guess what would happen to their economy? اذا كنت قررت ان تأخذ بها كل مهاجر شكل كندا ثم تخمين ما سيحدث لاقتصادهم؟ you guessed it. خمنت انها لكم. IT WOULD CRUMBLE. سوف تنهار. so think before you speak. اعتقد انك حتى قبل أن اتكلم.

   my final point here is, why do all of you feel that you shouldn’t be challenged. النقطه الأخيرة هنا ، لماذا كل من كنت تظن انك لا ينبغي الطعن. If somebody tries to convince you of something else or tries to make you reconsider to shut them out and have no regard for what they have to say. اذا كان شخص ما تحاول اقناع لكم اشياء اخرى او يحاول ان يجعلك تعيد توصد بها ، وليس لها اي اعتبار لديهم ما اقول. This is why negotiations can never be made with you people. وهذا هو السبب في المفاوضات لا يمكن ابدا ان يكون الناس معكم.
