“Army of Suicide Bombers” Founded in Gaza
18 July 2006An all-female group of wannabe suicide bombers was founded today in Gaza by the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC). The group, named the “Army of Suicide Bombers,” consists of about 100 “veiled and heavily armed Palestinian women” who happen to be of the Muslim persuasion (coincidence?).
The women marched through the streets of Gaza led by a woman carrying an RPG missile launcher on her shoulder.
A spokeswoman for the unit said that the ASB was founded in order “to aid the men in their war against the enemy.”
This will, no doubt, further blur the distinction between who is a fighter and who is a civilian, which, according to the Geneva Convention, is a war crime. This, of course, puts Israel in a very tough situation – historically, women have not entered the battlefield and have always been considered civilians. Will the world cry foul when Israel does what it has to do to neutralize this new group, including killing well-armed women?
