Arafat’s Buried Secrets – What the World Should Know

We all know that Yasser Arafat was a terrorist crook. But we only base this opinion on what we know. There’s lots more that we don’t know, but that we should know.
Here are a number of secrets that were buried with Arafat, as reported by the Winnipeg Jewish Review in 2010.
- According to Pinchas Inbari, an Israeli Journalist, the PLO never ratified the Oslo Accords because he didn’t get quorum for the meeting! For more information on this, see the Israel National News article on the topic.
- Arafat was proven to have day-to-day control over the Tanzim militia when they were blowing up and shooting Israelis, starting from the initiation of the October 2000 intifada, lasting for years.
- The Palestinian Authority was involved in all areas of organized crime, including drugs, prostitution, arms smuggling and car thefts.
What other secrets did Arafat take to his grave? Unfortunately we’ll never know. The real misfortune, however, is that it appears that the Israeli government and press were complicit in keeping the above and other facts quiet.

We came across this brilliant letter to the editor, to a Canadian newspaper. Most of us don’t know who the mentioned parties are, but the point is well taken – they are “leaders” on the Left, who only seem to decry when Israel takes measures to defending itself, but are deafeningly silent when dictators are oppressing and killing their people in droves. As the tanks roll out in Syria and protesters are summarily shot throughout the Arab world, I’m waiting to hear the vociferous condemnation of these regimes from those strident voices of the left like Jennifer Peto, Nick Day, Libby Davies, Sid Ryan, Khaled Muammar, CUPW, CUPE, QuAIA (Queers Against Israel Apartheid), Tim McCaskell, Naomi Klein, et al. When can we expect to hear their calls for an economic boycott of these regimes? When will flotillas set sail for Manama, Lattakia, Bandar Abbas and Tripoli? Which week will they choose for their “Murderous Arab and Iran Regime Week” at our universities? When will they be making visits to these countries to stage demonstrations and to challenge the regime’s leaders and military?
Likewise, I can’t wait for the million-plus Arabs living in Israel to rise up and resist the democracy, high standard of living, first world infrastructure, free press, education, health care and economic opportunity that has plagued them as citizens of Israel.
This is the golden age of opportunity for “social justice activism.” I can’t wait for these groups to get started on these campaigns.
