HEYA!! i'm the guy who wrote 2 letters here (31st of december
and the one that starts "I just think it's.." <-- probably the
two longest pro-israel letters on here). Just thought i'd write
in here a link to a great article (thanks to MEMRI - Middle East
Media and Research Institute)
http://memri.org/news.html#1011017788 <-- i just think this
should be plasted up on a wall or something. take care
I too recommend reading
this article and everything else at MEMRI. It's a glimmer
of hope in a world that is so cruel.
(P.S. how often/do you update this site? I
only ask because i'm troubled to see that a relatively
substancial home page has a smallish number of visitors... do
you have any ideas why this is so?
Promotion is tough. I
have to start asking others to put links up to this site.
If anybody has a webpage out there, please put a link up to my
site! :)
don't worry though, my new homepage will
include a link to here (even though i doubt many ppl will see
mine))
Thanks! Please be
sure to see the links page for other personal (and professional)
pages regarding the "Palestinian problem".

Asshole.
I know. The truth hurts, doesn't it?

I
just think it's quite important to note one thing on this
section, part of which is full of racist attitudes seeing as
little end as much of the "arab hatred" for Israel, as barak
said at one point (not an exact quote) 'IF i was a palestinian i
would have probably become a terrorist.'
And Bill Clinton said "I did not have sexual relations with that
woman, Ms. Lewinsky". Politicians often say things to make
them look better (look at Yasser Arafat). You know a
politician is speaking from their heart when then say stuff that
pisses others off (look at Ariel Sharon). Since then he's
conceded (finally) that the Palestinians don't want peace - big
surprise...
I
think it's important to note that not because of the fact that
he said it, or why he meant it himself (something he himself has
not yet explained), but what i do think is important is to note
that a HELL OF A LOT of arab hatred for Israel and distrust of
jews in the bigger picture is based on their media and
education.
Of course! Their governments are behind everything - they
control the press - they control what their people hear!
Remember that Palestinians are still not given citizenship in
other Arab countries. They blame Israel for all the
Palestinian problems, but they created it themselves. Now,
they incite people to believe that Israel is killing the
Palestinians and that Israel is responsible for all the world's
problems. Its amazing what such a little country can do...
It is important to note that, although such extremism is hard to
imagine, had this disturbing hateful evil education and almost
worse media reports been in western countries and in israel,
many israelis would probably be in similar positions to many
palestinians if they could... i just think it's important to
note that people in their nature might not be that hateful..
I agree - and that's why I hold all of the Arab governments
(except maybe Jordan) responsible for the next war. The
Arabs are being as naive today as the Germans in the 1930s -
they believe that if Israel is gone, they will be better off,
just like Germans were led to believe that Germany's economic
problems would disappear if the Jews were killed. It's
very disturbing that it's happening again.
as much as i want to spit out the truth every single chance i
get (and often do); it might at some point be better off to be
quiet while trying to internally "revolutionise" arab media,
which is completely undemocratic in nature... if you try to
cause a revolution while simultanously constantly claiming your
own truth, people who might want to believe (or atleast seek the
truth) might become resistant to changes...
You're right. But how do you revolutionize Arab media?
I believe every major Middle Eastern press company is
"government" owned, except for the Israeli press and Al Jazeera.
but under certain circumstances you may be able to change the
Arab's perception of Israel... In undemocratic countries it has
always been the devoted few who created the culture of the rest
(who in turn followed). I know this didn't have any big facts to
"challange or support" your site, i just wanted to know how you
see things (and action which will lead to a solution)...
I'm a realist - there are times to be optimistic and this isn't
one of those times. The only way things will change is if
democracy presents itself in the Arab world, especially for the
Palestinians. Until now, it seems that Yasser Arafat has
executed anybody that has potential to oppose him on a grand
scale and win political support. There simply isn't anyone
left. Anyone with political power that agrees to making
concessions with Israel is considered a spy for or collaborator
with Israel and is killed. It's a terrible situation.
after all, solutions alone are meaningless unless backed by a
carefully concieved plan which LONG TERM (unfortunately not
short) will liberate and expand peoples understanding of
situations...
Never going to happen until the Palestinians want it to happen.
That includes stopping hatred, stopping military and emotional
incitement and making some reasonable compromises. Until
then, there will never be peace until the time of the Moshiach.

Nuke Israel and get it over with!
Make no mistake about it - if Israel is nuked, it will take the
entire Arab world down with them...
