I am currently trying to
educate myself in this conflict and find you're site very
infomative.
Great! That is the
intention.
Although, as a totally neutral outsider
(well I consider myself to be so), I was taken back by the
one-sidedness of the site. I was hoping to obtain a greater
understanding from both sides.
Here is the Arab side in a
nutshell: We will be happy when the Zionist enemy is erased from
our presence. Many Arabs would like to see the destruction
of Israel - they have tried to do so since 1948 and after being
beaten by Israel 5 times, they have looked for diplomatic
methods of destroying Israel. The Durban Conference in
South Africa was just the beginning. There is no
understanding the desire for a destruction of other people,
unless you take a look at the Koran...you'll understand then.
That said, although passionate in your
viewpoint, it does not appear to be racist.
Thank you. I don't
hate Arabs - I would just like to stress to any Arabs reading
that Jews don't hate Arabs. Myself and other Jews out
there just want the truth to be known. We do not seek the
destruction of any Arabs, but it might come to that after being
provoked thousands of times. It is hard for Jews to sit by
and hear about their brothers and sisters being shot or maimed
by explosives as they do their grocery shopping or sip coffee.
I understand that Arabs feel that their brethren are being
killed as well - however, what do you expect when you shoot and
throw rocks at armed soldiers who are scared for their lives?
From my experience, in Ireland, I feel the
media has a very pro-Isreali rather than Palestinian view of the
conflict, this is possibly due to the influence of the American
point of view at the moment.
What does it mean to be
"pro-Israeli"? Does it mean to reject terrorism?
There is no excuse for terrorism, which is possibly why the
media in Ireland seem to favour Israel. Any Western
country would act the way Israel acts - and none of them would
be condemned like Israel is.
You being from Ireland can
understand how the government would deal with the IRA, if the
IRA was setting off explosives and shooting civilians
practically every day. The response wouldn't be so light,
would it?
All in all, good luck with the site, we can all benefit from free dissemination
of information!
Thanks! However, like
every other technology, the internet can be used for good and
for bad. Too bad the Arab world hasn't really begun to use
the internet for good.

your responce to one the people
in this guest book was rude. you CAN NOT tell someone their
opinion is WRON, because it is not a fact, it is an opinion, so
it can be neither right nor wrong.
If an "opinion" makes statements which the author purports to be
true, yet, the statements are false, then their opinion is
wrong. You cannot argue the truth.
